With our July 24 meeting, we started acting like a Rotary Club again.  We had two guests from the community--Lynna Walker from the Inyo Arts Council seeking volunteers to help with set-up at Millpond Music Festival (we'll be talking about making that an official club project, but anyone can volunteer by calling Lynna at the Arts Council number) and Krista Cooper, a local Cross-Fit Coach, who shared about her Fostering Fitness 4 Youth program (see below).  The Bishop Rotary Foundation is assisting in this be providing financial services for monies collected.

We also had a very brief update from our three RYLArians--Kelly Pfeiler, Nick Alexander, and Kaitlynn Kelly.  They'll be back for a "real" program in August, but they expressed their thanks to the club, and came back enthused and excited.

A few reminders about our weekly meetings:

The program for coordinator for each month will remain the "keeper of the key".  Again, the idea is that the monthly program coordinator will commit to being at our meeting site by 7:00 a.m. to make sure the doors are open, and to make sure that they are there to welcome our speaker.

"Timing" of our meetings:  the breakfast pickup person will try to have the food at our location at 7:00 a.m. (when the key should be there, too).  Social time starts at 7:11 (our official start time) and the bell will ring at 7:30 for the regular meeting and program.  We will continue to make every effort to conclude our meeting no later than 8:30 a.m.

Please "police" your area at the end of the meeting--we need to leave the conference room in the same condition as we find it each week.  The hospital is very generous in allowing us to use the venue, so let's keep it nice!
