Wednesday's meeting was a productive one, with President Bernadette giving an excellent powerpoint presentation on the goals we set at the end of last year. After the review, the action items were to establish committees and assignments for the short term and long term projects and goals which are listed below.

If you aren't yet involved with any of the projects below, but would like to be - just contact someone on the committee. Many hands make light work.

Wednesday's meeting was a productive one, with President Bernadette giving an excellent powerpoint presentation on the goals we set at the end of last year. After the review, the action items were to establish committees and assignments for the short term and long term projects and goals which are listed below.

Short term (0-6 months)

Earth Day - Although the date of the Earth Day event is not yet finalized, it will be in April and Dee will be heading up that committee with help from Dan and Nancy. If anyone else would like to help with planning the 2013 Earth Day events, please contact Dee.

Library - Ramona, Joanne, Don, and Ed have been active with the library project and will continue to press forward.

Fun Committee - Working to bring more fun, fellowship activities to our club will be Joanne, Dianne, Jeff, and Tom. If you want to join in the fun of planning fun - contact Joanne with ideas, energy, or just encouragement.

Mid term (6-12 months)

International Project Scouting - Tom and Nancy are enroute to Veracruz in February and will be looking for potential projects in that region, working with the Rotarians who visited the eastern Sierra in 2011. Anyone else with ideas for international projects is encouraged to bring those ideas to the next meeting.

Mentoring - There is still a strong desire to establish a strong and effective mentoring institution in the eastern Sierra, and President Bernadette has volunteered to lead that committee once she steps down from her present club duties. Backing her up are Eric, MC, Yvonne, and Vickie.

Academic Enrichment / Science Fair - Still in its infancy, there is an opportunity for our club to become more involved with Inyo County Superintendent of Schools' Science Fair. Dan is heading up the committee, and Vickie has volunteered to help.

Finally, to help Nancy craft a vision statement for the club, she is asking that every member send her a short phrase that describes our club in your own words. Send those phrases to nlhardy@verizon.net
